The purpose of our business.
Successability is here to help your business to thrive and grow by providing you with support specific to your needs. Our emphasis is on using technology well and providing the type and level of support appropriate to each individual business and person.
We work with small and medium enterprises (SMEs)
We like working with SMEs for several reasons.
They tend to be passionate and personal.
Small business owners are often very passionate and committed to what they are doing. Everyone involved with Successability is, and I’ve had many great conversations and working relationships with people running or working for an SME.
Small businesses need a break.
Many of the rules (written or otherwise) tend to focus on big business. For example, the more you turnover, the better rates you get. Hmmm. Surely it’s the small businesses that need preferential rates – see Money. Well Successability aims to redress that. SMEs deserve great value too.
My whole life has been working with small businesses (see below). It’s what I know and I want to share that experience and expertise for the benefit of other small businesses. It is what I have set up Successability for.
What constitutes a Small/Medium Business?
This is a purely personal definition, but typically we work with businesses with fewer than 50 employees. However there’s no hard and fast rule about that. Successability is open to all, but this is our main market and who we particularly enjoy working with.
So if you’re a small or medium sized business, contact us to find out how Successability can help you.
Useful Link – Small Businesses
I started my first small business many years ago when I ran a complementary therapy clinic and school on the Wirral. As a qualified reflexologist I studied counselling techniques and a number of other therapy approaches. I also learnt a tremendous amount about how to run (and how not to run) a small business.
I took these skills with me when I moved to my position as Chief Executive of the Association of Reflexologists. I restructured the entire organisation and led it to be the premier reflexology membership organisation in the UK and the largest in the world.
From there I moved to Electroville in Yorkshire to support voluntary organisations and small businesses to do what they do best. It was here that I really came to understand how to identify and meet the needs of small businesses. I have visited hundreds of organisations, listening carefully to what they say, guiding them to know what they want and helping them to achieve it.
And now I have come back to what I really love, to what my heart tells me I want to do. To run my own business again and to help others to run theirs.
